A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF ADMISSION |
|
|
| Gerard Gonnella '89, Director of Admission, reflects on the positive vibes at last weekend's Admission Information Session in his October blog post. Below is an excerpt:
I’m Gerard Gonnella, Director of Admission and Financial Aid. I’m also a proud alumnus and current parent of two students here. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog today and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you in person on campus if we have not already become acquainted. We just hosted our in-person Admission Information Session last Saturday and judging by the sizable crowd, the interest in providing your child with a better education with more opportunities couldn’t be clearer. One could easily feel the excitement in the air that morning. Colleagues, Student Ambassadors and Parent Ambassadors were truly excited to share their stories and what they love about the school to prospective families.

| LS students celebrate Monarch release |
Lower School students and faculty celebrated wildly, with a little bit of sadness in their hearts because they were also saying farewell, as seven Monarch butterflies were released into the wildlife on October 24 at the Lower School garden. The release of the butterflies capped a one-month journey that began with their arrival as larvae in mid-September and continued with daily care by the students and their teachers. |

| Support our upcoming stage productions |
Our student thespians are hard at work rehearsing for their big performances in Clue (US Fall Play) and Tuck Everlasting (MS Musical). Broadway-style Playbills are produced for these events and provide a great way to promote community businesses as well as give shout-outs to your favorite performers, teachers, and more. Department Chair Sharon Byrne says, “All the funds raised go directly toward elevating the level of our productions and providing an enriching experience for our student performers and crew members.”
For information about purchasing ad space in either of the Playbills, please email Marci Bowman at mbowman@whschool.org. |
