Mike Romeo, Athletic Director, announced this week’s Middle School Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to soccer player Jimmy Le ’29 and cross country runner Lexington Donahue ’30.
Jimmy has worked hard both during practice and outside to improve this year. He's always ready to learn and grow, and he's become a standout member of the team’s back four. His positive energy and aggressive play impact the whole team positively.
Lexington had a week that many older runners only dream about. In a hard fought race against a larger Churchill MS last Tuesday, Lexington finished as the all-important fifth runner in a close seven-point victory. Then last Saturday, she was asked to move from the JV race to the Varsity race to fill in for a runner who was ill. She was the team’s sixth girl in and displaced 20 runners from the other 13 schools in the race. The effort of Lexington and her teammates helped the squad finish in fourth place at the prestigious event.
