Upper School Anatomy Students Create 3D Models

Rudy Brandl

Upper School students in Anatomy and Physiology class are learning about the Integumentary System, which includes hair, skin, and nails. Every unit is designed in a way that incorporates multimodal activities to reinforce each student's understanding. Medical reference coloring pages, drawings, and 3D models are some of the ways that help to increase understanding.

The students recently created 3D models of the layers of the skin. The materials they used had to best represent every structure within the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous layers. They were extremely creative in their constructions.
