A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE COUNSELING |
|
|
| Sarah Honan, Director of College Counseling, enjoys A Time for Reflection and Celebration in her May blog post. Below is an excerpt:
For those of us who work in schools, May always seems to be the month of reflection. Seniors are reflecting on their four years of high school - writing graduation and award ceremony speeches, messages in each other’s yearbooks, and (hopefully) some thank you notes to the teachers that made a difference for them along the way. The college admissions world is reflecting, too; indeed, our team will be attending three different professional conferences this month alone to debrief the 2022-23 application cycle and begin to prepare for the next.

Stats students create games of chance |
Upper School students in Mr. Brian Staub’s Statistics and Probability class each created their own unique game of chance in a recent project. The teacher played the role of carnival owner and they had to pitch their game to him by explaining the rules, the probability of winning and losing, along with other factors. After the pitches (presentations), the class played the different games. The games involved cards, dice, spinning wheels, a tic-tac-toe board, among others. |
