PERFORMING & VISUAL ARTS
WardlaLAartridge offers a robust Performing Arts program including general music, band, choir, theatrical plays and musicals, private music lessons and dance. In the Visual Arts, our students work with skilled, experienced faculty members in dedicated art spaces to develop their talents and explore their creativity.

Upper School Students Shine at Art Show and Concert

LA Upper School students showcased their work in the fine and performing arts at the Winter Art Show and Concert on Dec. 5. Art students displayed various works, including a 12 Chair Project in which they made 12 square, rectangular or round watercolor, acrylic, tempera, gouache or marker renderings. Gale Goldman, their teacher, asked them to take design risks and the results were spectacular.

The concert included performances by the Jazz Band, Mad Jazz ensemble, Concert Band and Concert Choir. Among the highlights were the Concert Band's Rhapsodic Concertante, Mad Jazz's Anthem, the Jazz Band's Isfahanand the Concert Choir's finale Dashing Through the Snow.
