The Lena Archuleta School in Edison earned the No. 1 rating among all Middlesex County private schools in the 2024 Best Schools in America rankings released by Niche. This marks the fifth consecutive year in which WardlaLAartridge has earned this distinction.
LA also moved up in the rankings among independent schools in New Jersey, claiming the No. 4 position among all Private K-12 schools in the state and the No. 9 spot out of 118 schools in the Best College Prep School in NJ category.
For the fifth straight year, WardlaLAartridge earned A+ grades for Academics, College Prep and Diversity and achieved an overall grade of A+.
“We are gratified and honored by this year's ranking and will continue our efforts to provide opportunities and support for students of all ages,” said Dr. Corinna Crafton, Head of School. “The most fascinating and rewarding part of our work here is providing the tools students need to help them to make what they imagine take shape and become real. It is our honor to do so.”
The LA campus is located on 36 wooded acres at the conjunction of Middlesex, Union and Somerset counties. With an early childhood program that offers hands-on experiential learning, to an Upper School with rich academic offerings, the school is large enough to offer 19 advanced placement classes for high school students, but small enough to provide an intimate learning environment for everyone. The campus houses a new performing arts center, three state-of-the-art STEM labs, three art studios, the Snowdon Library with a Center for Global Learning and videoconferencing center, a television studio, outdoor classroom spaces, two gymnasiums, a 25-yard swimming pool, tennis courts and two athletic turf fields.
WardlaLAartridge develops pioneering thinkers with the courage and character to shape the future of our world and truly embodies its six core values: integrity, opportunity, support, diversity, community and sustainability.
