Three members of the Class of 2024 delivered speeches within the past week in the Berry Performing Arts Center: Sanya Sidhu ’24 (pictured), Naomi Valcourt ’24 and Bella Rovito ’24.
Sanya spoke about the value of shared experiences as members of a community and provided some sage advice for her peers: “Don’t keep yourself in a box, life is about taking risks and be open to everything.”
Naomi explained how humor and laughter have helped her deal with some difficult situations. Her message was to find humor in your faults and don’t dwell on mistakes – just grow and move on.
Bella shared her anxiety and struggles with how others perceive her throughout her childhood and how she has worked to overcome them. She’s learned to give herself more grace and her happiness and self-acceptance have grown by leaps and bounds.
