Three members of the Class of 2023 kicked off the New Year and delivered senior speeches within the past week in the Berry Performing Arts Center. Jasmyn Gordon ’23 (pictured), Harrison Kilpatrick ’23 and Rohan Batra ’23 addressed a variety of interesting themes.
Jasmyn Gordon ’23 likened her indecisiveness and fear of making mistakes to writing in pen, since both are difficult to erase. She has learned over the years that perfection is not possible and learning from mistakes leads to growth.
Harrison Kilpatrick ’23 saluted his mother and father for their ongoing support, guidance and motivation to pursue excellence. He reflected on some moves and changes in his youth and is grateful for the opportunities and growth LA has provided in his two years at the school.
Rohan Batra ’23 shared a story about conquering his fear of a 10-story water slide. He overcame nerves and decided to take the risk, and although the ride was not as dangerous as he anticipated, he felt a sense of accomplishment afterward.
