The Middle School held its first House Olympics last week in Laidlaw Gym. The 90-minute event allowed students in all three houses to engage in friendly competition with more points on the line toward their weekly and cumulative totals.
Lee Nicholls, Physical Education Department Chair, ran the competition with a superb slate of events: Team Photo, Basketball, Cup Stack Relay, Human Bowling, Sprint Relay and Team Rescue. These team oriented events required creativity, strategy, collaboration and athleticism.
Hayward House (pictured) prevailed with 57 points, followed by Leal (37) and Scribner (27). Hayward also won the Sportsmanship Award, while Leal claimed the Fair Play and Team Leadership prizes.
