Lower School Students Celebrate Gratitude at Assembly

Rudy Brandl

Fifth graders organized and led a Lower School assembly promoting the importance of gratitude on Friday, Nov. 11 in the Berry Performing Arts Center.

While the entire class prepared the presentation, four students (pictured) led the assembly: Gavin Tobin-Montanez ’30, Jaivan Virdi ’30, Jeremiah Simeonidis ’30 and Harvir Khanduja ’30. The students discussed the meaning of gratitude and allowed their peers to offer their own definitions from the audience. They also discussed ways to share gratitude in our school and provided a meaningful exercise for students to complete in their classrooms. Students were asked to color a butterfly and write something for which they are grateful and hand it to a person of their choice.
