Adam Eisdorfer ’25 made LA school history last week when he sprinted to the finish line in first place in the 400-meter run at the State Prep Championships at The Bubble in Toms River. Adam hit the line in a time of 52.63 seconds to defeat a pack of sprinters by less than one-half second to become the school’s first indoor State Prep track champion.

“I wanted to get out as fast as I could and beat everyone in the first 200, which is what I was able to do,” Adam said. “Then I just tried to coast it and stay in front knowing that I had the kick in the last 30 meters and I knew I could win it. I’m always thinking about being the best runner I can be and today I think I really showed that.”

Adam’s performance highlighted a strong night of competition for the Rams, who battled independent school athletes from all over New Jersey. Adam also led the 4x400 relay team to a fifth place finish in the final event of the meet. Other individual points were scored by William Wei ’25 in the 55 (5th place) and Sevastian Castillo ’26 in the 1,600 (3rd place).

Naomi Valcourt ’24 scored 12 individual points to lead the LA girls with third place finishes in the 55 meters and 200 meters. Naomi Craig ’25 (6th in 200) and Jayla Presley-May ’26 (6th in 400) also scored points for the Rams. The three individual point scorers joined Duaa Noor ’27 to place fourth in the 4x400 relay.
