A MESSAGE FROM OUR HEAD OF SCHOOL |
|
|
|
Dr Corinna Crafton, Head of School, recently shared a letter with LA families regarding the school's annual engagement survey: Each year, LA asks its families to share their reflections as members of the WardlaLAartridge community. Current LA families received an email from Carpenter Consulting on April 9. That email included a live link to the survey, which is completely anonymous. We ask that you complete this survey, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The survey will remain open until April 23.
We utilize the information gathered from these engagement surveys to assess program, staffing, facilities, and strategic development initiatives. Thus, your opinions and feedback are vital to the future of LA, and we thank you for taking time to be part of this important process. Many thanks for your participation! |

Jayda Richter '27 performs at Carnegie Hall |
Jayda Richter ’27 was honored to represent her school and her Jewish heritage while enjoying the rare opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall earlier this month. Jayda sang with HaZamir: The International Jewish Teen Choir in an emotionally charged concert at Carnegie Hall on April 7. HaZamir is a musical youth movement that welcomes Jewishly identified and musically talented teens from all denominations as well as those with no affiliation. HaZamir offers high school teens in chapters across the US and Israel the opportunity to learn and sing Jewish choral music at the highest musical standard and on the world’s greatest stages.
“It was really awesome. I walked out and it was an incredible feeling to be on that stage and to know how many people have performed there in the past,” Jayda said. |

| Fifth graders stage entertaining Greek plays |
Fifth-grade students performed four classic Greek stories in the annual Greek Play Festival on April 11. A robust fifth-grade class allowed groups of students to present four 10-12 minute plays in Mrs. Elizabeth Stillman’s classroom.
The featured stories were Theseus and the Minotaur, Perseus and the Gorgon, Jason and the Golden Fleece, and The Trojan War. The students worked for six weeks to adapt their stories into scripts, create props and costumes, and prepare to stage their performances for their biggest fans - their Kindergarten buddies. The Greek plays are always one of the highlights of the fifth-grade experience at WardlaLAartridge. FIFTH GRADE GREEK PLAYS PHOTO GALLERY |
